John Harman Thatching Ltd won the contract to rethatch two cottages of Mapperton Estate’s. They did an excellent job, despite appalling weather at the beginning of 2021. The cottages look warm and comfortable under their new thatched roofs.

We were so touched that you came back to see and to offer a quote on the side we were desperately needing to have done.
Your friendly character, charm and proactive attitude, was what helped us act quickly on having it done. Especially as it was just near to Christmas .
Rob was lucky to have the beautiful mild January weather on his side. No major rains or winds. Miraculously all finished and beautiful trimmed looking like a chocolate box photograph !... just before the horrendous “Storm Eunice “ . We were made to feel so much safer knowing that our thatched roof was fresh and secure.
We are so very happy with all that Rob and yourself have done. It’s fine craftsmanship , for all to see and admire. ( I really wish we had got the other half done too)
